İznik is not only blue
The first thing remembered about İznik is colour. But although colour is the most visible element, it is not the only one forming the system. Composition is built through rhythm, repetition, density, space, and controlled asymmetry. A surface can be both lively and balanced. A motif can repeat without becoming mechanical. Using only blue, orange, or red is not using İznik. Copying the palette copies the surface. Understanding the principles of composition is what lets the tradition continue.
