About / Method
A good result is not left to chance. The most expensive mistake in an identity project is solving the wrong problem well. So the work does not begin by producing form. The problem is defined. What must change? What must be preserved? What genuinely belongs to identity is separated from what belongs to another organisational problem. As the process advances, options are expected to decrease, not multiply. Design turns gradually into fewer possibilities and clearer decisions. The task of method is not to multiply creativity but to reduce uncertainty.
Method
Look first. History. Geography. Product. Production. Material. Category. Competitors. Price. User. Language. Use. Not all information carries the same weight. The aim is not to collect as many references as possible but to find which information actually changes a design decision. The result of research does not have to be visible on the design. It is enough for it to be inside the decision.
Notes
Then doubt.
Every category develops its own reflexes over time. Luxury becomes black. Natural becomes green. Technology becomes blue. A local brand uses a motif. None of this is automatically wrong. But none of it can be accepted as right merely because it is habit. What truly belongs to the project is preserved. What is category rote is questioned. Habit can be knowledge. It is not a justification.
