Kündekâri is more than a pattern

Kündekâri is often described through stars, polygons, and decorative surfaces. Yet the real value lies not in the pattern but in the system. Independent pieces keep their own geometric logic while forming a larger whole. No single piece is the entire work. Identity systems should work in a similar way. Logo, typography, colour, packaging, or photography are not a brand on their own. Value arises from the relationships these parts build with one another. Carrying kündekâri into contemporary design is not copying the star. It is understanding the relation between the part and the whole.
